Get to Know Spiritual Gifts
Every Christian is given by the Spirit the desire and capacity to serve. Those God-formed dispositions — the motivational spiritual gifts — are the interior engines that move people toward particular kinds of ministry. This book focuses on the 16 motivational gifts shown in the Spiritual Gifts Map: gifts that describe why a person serves and how they find joy and staying-power in ministry. When people serve out of their God-given motivational wiring, the church serves more faithfully and effectively.
What are motivational gifts?
Some spiritual-gift frameworks describe gifts by function (what someone does) or by manifestation (how the Spirit empowers a moment). Motivational gifts are about heart-orientation and persistent calling: the patterns of desire and fulfillment that reliably surface when people are serving in ways that match their God-given wiring. A motivated server is not merely competent — they are energized, resilient, and likely to stay.
